Let’s talk about music!
The next podcast series is titled “Break It Down and Anatomize.” I am looking for music lovers where the songs you love speak to you and have a chat about the what and the why of those songs. Many times a song you love will touch you because it reminds you of something, a loved one, high school, whatever. I would like to do 2 or 3 songs you love and then talk about them — why you love them; or how they speak to you; or what happened the first time you heard them; or whatever comes to mind about these tunes you love. If you’re a songwriter these songs could be your originals. Or any piece of music or two that touches you.
The idea here is show people that there are many ways of listening to and interpreting the art form. I also think this would be a fun podcast if we had 3 or 4 people talking about these tunes and getting multiple perspectives from everyone. Let’s talk about music! Your-choice music podcast.

From The Rooftop podcasts will cover many things music related. Podcasts will generally last 30-45 minutes. I will do most of the podcast episodes via Zoom Meetings but there will be some podcasts that will be filmed from the Rooftop Music studio. In either scenario, I will edit the footage and share the podcast with you prior to publishing so you have a chance to approve the content.
The prep: Prior to the podcast, I will send over a Google doc with a few guidelines and interview questions. It is helpful for the flow of the podcast to review the Google doc. All podcasts are done via Zoom Meeting or Google Meet. You will need a camera on your laptop or PC (doing via phone or tablet is not preferred) and a quiet place to meet.
Podcasts will be hosted on the Rooftop Music website and YouTube channel. I will also promote them on my social channels. Thank you for your interest and help.
